This facility, one of several recent Posen Architecture projects funded by the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS), includes a new 70,000 sf out-of-the-ground building. Argus Community, Inc. provides substance abuse and alcohol treatment services; Argus will operate the Bronx facility housing 115 transitional-living beds and an outpatient program for 250 clients. The proposed cellar includes basic building services such as mechanical, maintenance and storage spaces as well as the kitchen and dining room. The first floor includes all administrative and counseling spaces, medical dispensing, and nurse and physician exam rooms. The proposed second, third and fourth floors will contain double-occupancy bedrooms, laundry, multi-purpose rooms, a large recreation room and a staff office on each of the three floors.
The project, currently in design, is anticipated to be completed in 2019.
