Dennis Posen

Dennis Posen, AIA

Mr. Posen established Posen Architects in 1996 after 20 years of practice and ownership in other firms. He brings extensive experience in healthcare design as well as corporate relocations, institutional master planning and large-scale office development. His expertise is focused on quality assurance, project management and delivery, and he is a resource to all project teams. Dennis directs the marketing efforts of the firm as well as finance and administration.

Renata Mayhew

Renata Mayhew, AIA

Renata brings over 9 years of experience in architecture and has been involved in programming through to construction documentation and construction phase support.

Her previous work includes commercial and residential projects. Now working on several healthcare projects, Renata’s diverse experience in design and in construction, and her complex problem-solving skills are an important asset to the design team.

Kosta Koulouris

Kosta Koulouris, AIA

Mr. Koulouris has more than 20 years of experience in design, project administration, zoning and preparation of construction documents. He skillfully guides projects from conceptual design sketches through final documents for permit approvals, bids, and construction. His project experience includes institutional, commercial, corporate, large-scale residential and landmark building restorations throughout New York and New Jersey. In addition to project-specific responsibilities, Kosta leads the in-house QA/QC and Technology Committees and manages the day to day staffing of the firm.

Lori Klein

Lori Klein, CID

Ms. Klein has 35+ years of healthcare, corporate and commercial interior design experience. She has programmed, designed, and managed projects ranging from 3,000 to 400,000 square feet. Ms. Klein has expertise in designing healthcare environments ranging from behavioral health facilities to cancer care; as well as providing branding solutions, managing furniture procurement, and directing pre-lease tenant planning from test-fits through final specifications. Lori has been recognized by NJBIZ as one of New Jersey’s Best 50 Women in Business and is the creative ‘driver’ for each interior design project in the office.

Thomas Fantacone

Thomas A. Fantacone, AIA, LEED AP

Mr. Fantacone’s career spans 45 years, encompassing the design of higher education, corporate, commercial, industrial, healthcare, and government facilities. His projects have garnered design, community, and industry awards and recognition for their contributions to the built environment. Tom provides design leadership across the firm, collaborates with clients to translate the program and goals of the project into three-dimensional form, and remains involved to see that the design stays true to its vision.

Erin Sharp Newton

Erin Sharp Newton, M. Arch.

Ms. Sharp Newton has more than 20 years of experience in architecture and planning from working in firms on the east and west coasts of the U.S. as well as in Italy. She has earned respect in the industry for her social design approach, using architecture and design as instruments of care through envisioning, forward thinking and game changing solutions. Her thoughtful contributions and innovative designs can be seen in recognized behavioral/ health environments for clients such as RWJBarnabas Health, Hackensack Meridian Health, Carrier Clinic, St. Joseph’s Medical Center, and Sun Behavioral Health.

William Hamilton

William S. Hamilton, AIA, LEED AP

Mr. Hamilton has over 30 years of experience in preparation of design and construction documents, zoning studies, code review, permitting, and technical investigations. His project experience includes a specialization in healthcare. As the firm’s in-house code expert and Director of Compliance, he conducts QA/QC peer reviews, zoning and FAR investigations, and all coordinates all state level DOH submissions and NJ Department of Community Affairs applications.

Jennifer Doan

Jennifer Doan, Associate AIA

Ms. Doan’s experience includes healthcare, institutional, educational, and commercial facilities, with involvement from preliminary design to construction documentation and construction administration. She has been part of design teams working on new construction projects as well as renovations. Jennifer has completed numerous medical projects, developing an expertise in Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) standards and code compliance in a hospital setting. She is highly skilled in Revit and BIM 360.

LaNeé Carter

LaNeé Carter, Associate AIA

Ms. Carter has been working with Posen Architects since 2011 and has experience in all aspects of the design process, including preliminary design, architectural visualization, construction documentation, and construction administration. She successfully navigates the intricacies of FGI compliance in healthcare settings and the regulatory requirements of different jurisdictions in New Jersey and New York.

LaNeé is adept at integrating technology -- including new architectural rendering techniques and Revit, a Building Information Modeling (BIM) software -- into the design process. She also trains and mentors the technical staff to establish Revit as the software platform for the office.

Jennifer Gately

Jennifer Gately

Ms. Gately has worked at Posen Architects since 2007 first as Administrative Assistant and now as Marketing Manager. She is directly responsible for all of the firm’s proposals, statements of qualification, market research and promotional activity. She also manages in house graphic design, administrative standards and website maintenance. No qualifications or proposal leaves the office without Jennifer’s supervision.

Julie Pagnotta

Julie Pagnotta

Ms. Pagnotta has worked at Posen Architects since 2011 first as Office Manager and now as Finance Manager. She has been directly responsible for the firm’s introduction and integration of the Ajera contract management software program since 2014. Julie manages all project and firmwide financial affairs including banking, payroll, insurance, consultants, AP, A/R and benefits.

Laura Confalonieri, NCIDQ, LEED AP, ID+C

Ms. Confalonieri brings 25 years of corporate interior design experience across a broad range of industries, her designs aim to connect the client’s brand and culture to their workplace. Past projects include corporate headquarters and executive suites, as well as numerous amenity spaces such as work cafés, coffee bars, fitness centers, and public lobbies. This work combined technical and functional aspects with an artistic vision to create a unique environment.

Madona Kamal

Ms. Kamal joined the firm after graduation and her recent experience includes institutional, healthcare and commercial facilities. Utilizing Revit and Enscape, she is involved with preliminary design to construction documents for permit approvals, bids and construction. She is currently involved with projects for non-profit facilities for the Dormitory Authority of New York (DASNY) and the NYS Office of Addiction and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS), as well as the New Concepts for Living, Adult Day Care facility in Paramus, NJ.

Amy Guancione

Ms. Guancione joined Posen Architects after graduation and her recent interior design experience includes healthcare, residential and commercial design. She works with the interior design and architectural teams to prepare space plans, finish, lighting, and furniture plans as well as contract documents for permit approvals, bids and construction.

Chris Panzella

Mr. Panzella, a recent graduate, is the firm’s newest architectural associate. Working closely with the rest of the staff, he is learning how the office runs, how projects are designed and managed, how we process and review submittals and how we interact with general contractors and clients during construction. All staff work on projects from concept through completion.
