American Standard moved its corporate offices to an existing operations center in Piscataway, NJ and renovated the lobby to provide a secure entrance in a former multi-tenant building. The overall project included about 75,000 sf.
Corporate Headquarters
1997
This 3-story, 75,000 SF speculative office building at 155 Village Boulevard in the Forrestal Village Office Park in Princeton, NJ was our first stand-alone building. Green glass and red brick were design requirements.
First "Ground Up" Construction Project
1998
A full floor, 22,000 SF, interior design and construction in One Riverfront Plaza, Newark, NJ for Reed Smith, a Pittsburgh based national law firm. Traditional dark woods, marble and red trim were selected to express experience and confidence.
Law Firm Regional Offices
1999
Our first office in Elizabeth, NJ. A renovated gas station, it wasn’t much to look at from the outside, but it was a great place to work. Within a few years, the staff had grown to fifteen people.

The Appalachian, a 226,000 SF hotel/condominium at Mountain Creek Resort in Vernon, NJ building features 178 units above retail and below ground parking. Posen was Architect of Record and collaborated with a Canadian design firm.

Site plan approvals were underway when Kearny Bank bought the property for its new corporate headquarters. Posen designed this 3-story, 55,000 SF building at 120 Passaic Avenue in Fairfield, NJ.
Regional Bank Headquarters

This 250,000 SF, 5-building complex for Summit Medical Group in Berkeley Heights includes both renovated structures and new construction. It includes ambulatory surgery, diagnostic radiology, cancer treatment and a full complement of multi-specialty physician office.

A lesson in team-building and a chance to bond with each other outside the office, the growing Posen staff went white water rafting on the Lehigh River. A memorable day off.

With a growing firm, the practice needed more space and purchased an abandoned warehouse in West Orange, NJ. Heavy timber bow trusses create a wide-open space for collaboration.

This 25,000 SF training facility in Parsippany, NJ features four adjoining rooms that each seat 40 and open to a 'town hall' size room; 12 breakout rooms, a 'bistro', visitor support services and office space.

An existing flex/warehouse building was re-purposed into an ambulatory surgery center with 3 specialized ORs for eye surgery and two laser treatment procedure rooms. The 11,000 SF facility is in Fairlawn, NJ.

Our first project for the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York is in the Seaview Hospital Historic District in Staten Island, NY. A building on the NYS Register of Historic Places was renovated into a 45 bed, substance abuse, residential rehabilitation facility for adolescent boys.

Ansell asked Posen Architects to go beyond the challenge of creating a new space. The 58,000 SF headquarters communicates the vital role their brand(s) plays in improving the lives of their clients through large-scale images that express the Ansell story.

NJ Sharing in New Providence, NJ is a federally-designated regional organ procurement organization. This 50,000 SF warehouse conversion features executive, administrative, conference, training, and staff areas as well as a clinical testing laboratory.

Built in two phases, this 25,000 SF, two-story outpatient physician practice facility houses a primary care group, a dermatology group, a radiology suite including an MRI and CT, an orthopedic group and a women’s health practice.

Posen Architects won a Remodel/Renovation Silver Award from Healthcare Design Magazine by modernizing an outdated 12-bed CCU unit at Saint Clare’s Denville Hospital and reconfiguring the central nursing station to improve sight lines and allow more natural light in work areas.

Faced with a growing outpatient cancer program and an existing building that was too small, Posen designed a 7-story addition to the old cancer center. The new 38,000 sf glass building is connected to the existing 3-story Dickstein structure which received a metal panel skin, new entrance atrium and new interiors from top to bottom.

This new 50,000 SF treatment center in the Bronx is operated by VIP Community Services, Inc. Funded by the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) the exterior materials—translucent glass and brick contrasted by modern zinc panels—emphasize the history and revitalization of the neighborhood.

Posen designed a renovation of a three-story existing office building in Union, NJ into an outpatient facility for the nearby Children’s Specialized Hospital. The interior design of the 65,000 SF space is welcoming, playful and vibrant—to both calm and engage young patients.

One of several new projects funded by the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), this new four-story building for Argus Community, Inc., includes 55,055 SF and is located in the Bronx, NY. It will house 114 inpatients and will also serve outpatients.

A two phase project to expand and update an existing, 30-year-old, two-story building housing separately-licensed healthcare facilities on each floor: a specialized behavior-management long-term care unit on the first floor and a psychiatric hospital on the second.

This new 20,000 sf building on Wards Island, NY will house a new 60-bed drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility funded by the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS). The proposed modular building will connect to the site’s existing building.
